The California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) has published its draft Three Year Priority Product Work Plan (2018-2020) for the Safer Consumer Products Regulation (SCPR). The draft Work Plan identifies the product categories that DTSC will evaluate over the next three years. EO is listed as a Candidate Chemical under the SCPR. The hazard traits and listing basis are available online. DTSC is accepting public comments on the draft Work Plan until March 9, 2018. (2018-02)
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has submitted updated regulations for receiving delegations of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) authority for implementation and enforcement of National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) for all sources. The final rule is effective on March 13, 2018. (2018-02)
The American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) has updated its 2018 Under Study list. ACGIH has retained ethylene oxide (EO) on the Threshold Limit Value (TLV) Committee Under Study list. By July 31, 2018, ACGIH will determine whether it may or will not move forward with a Notice of Intended Change (NIC) in 2019. (2018-02)
